Please view a constantly updated selection of vintage Moroccan tribal carpets of highest quality with a special focus on white or cream ground Beni Ouarain rugs in the 'berber' section. The items in the 'past highlights' section are meant to be a catalogue site of very special items that I am still proud of having handled them in the past.... but which are already sold. You may however refer in a request also to particular pieces that you found there. My current stock comprises ca. 300 carpets so it is quite likely to find a piece of a similar character. I would do my best to find you a piece as requested.

Since March 2008 I also offer the cutting edge contemporary carpet collections of JAN KATH +  RUG STAR (by Juergen Dahlmanns) for the first time in Austria. Both of them have been decorated with several design awards in the past years + their carpets are manufactured under 'fair trade' certified circumstances in Nepal + Morocco.  All designs of these collections can be adapted on individual order in size, color, material + fineness.

In co-operation with Jan Kath I also offer the collection 'Le Maroc Blanc', a collection produced in the high Atlas mountains in Morocco in design, style + structure of the classical off-white Beni Ouarain Berber carpets. All carpets of this collection can be custom odered in any sizes up to 13' / 400 cm width + more than 20' / 600 cm length (bigger sizes to be discussed).This collection has recently been awarded at with the 'Carpet Design Award 2009' by DOMOTEX + MODERN for the 'Best Collection Traditional' + also with the public award.

Rugs from the JAN KATH + RUG STAR collections are constantly on display at the gallery in Graz.

Neben der gewohnt vielseitigen Auswahl an hochwertigen, alten Berber Teppichen aus Marokko,  einer wachsenden Anzahl an alten nomadischen Teppichen aus Anatolien, Persien, Zentralasien und Tibet / China, biete ich  seit einiger Zeit auch modernistische europäische Teppiche aus der Zeit von  1920 - 1970 an. Unter anderem eine ständige Auswahl an vintage Teppichen von Verner Panton, sowohl aus der  dänischen Unika Vaev / unikataeppe (Roulette, Geometri 1), als auch aus der schweizer Mira X Produktion (Maroc: Quadrat / square, Streifen / stripes, Kreis / circle etc.).

Seit März 2008 führe ich nun die brandaktuellen Designteppich Kollektionen von JAN KATH + RUG STAR (by Jürgen Dahlmanns), erstmals in Österreich, im Programm. Beide Designer + Produzenten sind in den vergangenen Jahren mit verschiedenen wichtigen Design Preisen ausgezeichnet worden + produzieren ihre Teppiche in Nepal + Marokko unter zertifizierten 'fair trade' Bedingungen in Handarbeit der besten Qualität. Jeder Teppich aus diesen Kollektionen kann in Größe, Design, Farben + Materialien (angeboten werden Wolle, Seide, Kaschmir, Nessel, Hanf + Bananenseide) an individuelle Wünsche angepasst werden (Knüpfdichte von 60 bis 300 Knoten pro inch2).

In Zusammenarbeit mit Jan Kath + exklusiv in Österreich biete ich jetzt auch eine Linie neuer Teppiche im 'Beni Ouarain' Stil an, die, in vielen Mustern + Grössen (auch in Überbreiten) orderbar, in den Bergen des Hohen Atlas Gebirges maßgefertigt werden. Diese Kollektion, 'Le Maroc Blanc', wurde vor kurzem mit dem von DOMOTEX und MODERN (carpets + textiles for interiors) verliehenen Design Preis 'Carpet Design Award 2009' für die 'Best Collection Traditional' + dem Publikumspreis ausgezeichnet.

Stücke aus den Kollektionen von JAN KATH + RUG STAR sind jederzeit in der Galerie in Graz zu besichtigen.

Custom made carpets in the 'Beni Ouarain' style are a particularity of the 'Le Maroc Blanc' collection. These shaggy cream ground carpets can either be ordered in a number of designs from the collection in any sizes up to 13' in width + 20' in length. Otherwise also any small rugs in all unusual sizes can be ordered upon request as well as almost any kind of individual design (please feel free to contact us with your ideas).
